Meet Michele
Hi! I’m Michele I’m a graduate and valedictorian of the University of Vermont with a Biology and Nutrition degree who is passionate about all things health. During my time at the University of Vermont I took rigorous courses such as Biochemistry of Human Disease, Molecular Endocrinology, Food & Culture, Sports Nutrition, Nutrition in the Lifecycle, with the intention of going to medical school.
But life had other plans.
Despite my achievements on paper, I struggled throughout high school and college with anorexia. At the time of graduation, I was left to fend on my own due to hospital guidelines, health insurance policies, and financial circumstances. It left me with two options:
a.) Give Up
B.) Keep Going.
So I kept going. I founded A Fit And Fabulous Michele on a whim of hope.
While a lot has changed since that time, on this site, I utilize both my education and experiences growing up with a ten year struggle with anorexia (twice inpatient), growing up in a household with both a Type 1 Diabetic and someone with food allergies (to corn, bananas, avocado, etc), going through the divorce of my parents, and later having to file a restraining order against my mom’s ex boyfriend. I aim to help others through their struggle.
Because honestly, there were so many times that I didn’t know how I’d survive or if I could trudge on. Any yet I did, and if I can do it, I know you can too.

Fun Facts About The Girl
- In my free time I love doing extreme tubing, water-skiing, doing DIY’s (woodburning, scrapbooking, you name it).
- But I hate the cold and dream of one day taking a one-way ticket to California (although I’ve never been!)
- I’m a dog-mom, and love my 10 year old lab (who still thinks he’s a lap dog).
- I love to laugh at myself. One time I got a goal in soccer while fixing my ponytail as the ball hit my butt.
