Last weekend, I set out to de-clutter the notes section on my computer and what came up? The list of manifestations that I dreamed about less than a year ago.
Intrigued?
So was I. Looking at my list of manifestations, it’s a bit scary and exciting how many of them came true in less than a year. And extremely exciting about the rest of them on there, because innately I believe we all wonder if we will ever get to THAT point in our life.
Because it’s all uncertain, it’s easy to get caught up in the fear of our dreams not happening. And caught up in the notion of asking ourselves whether it’s even worth it to face the challenges we have today. Because it may seem mentally exhausting.
I get it. I’ve been there. Heck, I’ve been in that spot for years at a time. Wondering if life could ever get better. And wondering if I could ever get what I wanted. Wondering if maybe I could get the life I dreamed of instead of being stuck in the life I did not love.
Well long story made short, I’m here.
Healthy. Happy. In California. With a goldendoodle that was part of my manifestation list this year. Still working on the rest of them, of course, but naturally, I’d like to believe that the best things take time to create.
So maybe this is silly or WAY too deep (overthinker alert), but if you are at that weird spot in your life where you feel stuck, I’d highly recommend sitting with yourself and just picturing what it is you want.
- Where do you want to be 5 years from now?
- What do you want to create?
- What relationships do you want in your life?
- What kind of dogs or doodles do you envision?
- How do you want to feel?
Sounds silly. I know…
But if you think about it, you can’t get anywhere without having an idea of where you want to go.
And even if you veer off and find something else, it’s always essential to have something YOU can look forward to as a push to do better. And even if you have exactly what you always wanted from life, it’s still essential to realize if you are doing all you can to maintain where you are in life rather than going under.
Speaking of maintenance…
Doodles are a lot more work than many envision. Between training him to be a therapy dog, maintaining his coat, researching what’s best for his health, and being the crazy doodle mom with an IG for him, I can honestly say it’s been quite the adventure. One that I would never change, but one that can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to balance.
Thankfully, this year, I’ve had the honor of working with several brands and stores, including the one in this blog, that make the process a bit easier to balance as a dog mom. That brand being Cherrybrook Premium Pet Supplies store. Have you heard of it before?
If not, I’d highly recommend checking it out. Here’s a bit of insight into what they sent Harrison and I, what we thought, and what they offer in their store.
1.) BirdDawg Customizable Cooler Bag
Not sure if anyone else feels the same way, but anything customizable is a win in my books. And this bag, while they didn’t have a goldendoodle, was pretty awesome. And of high quality. It’s perfect for storing his training treats and food within, especially when we go camping. Highly recommend for anyone who loves anything customizable for their pet and who is looking for something specifically for their cold groceries or for keeping their dog’s food cold!
2.) Nature’s Specialties Shampoo
While I haven’t yet tried this on Harrison, I’m excited to after reading a bit of the company’s background. Unlike some brands out there, this brand has been used by professional groomers for 40 years. And ironically enough, it’s based in California.
3.) Chris Christensen’s Breezy Brushes
A good brush is SO important to any goldendoodle owner. If you don’t have one yet, it is a lot of work to prevent their fur from matting. These come in three pad flexibilities, have rounded and grounded metal pins, have lightweight beechwood handles, and are made in Germany. They are extremely well made and we also highly recommend.
4.) Fluff & Tuff dog toys
I have to be honest in that I love spoiling my dog. And as of this moment, he has about 20-ish toys in his bed alone. He loves the stuffed ones that make noise the most out of all of them. And so long and behold, you guys can probably guess that he loved the teddy bear from this collection. What I loved even more about the brand is that they bring fun to dogs in need through their Fluff & Tuff charitable incentives.
5.) Chris Christensen’s Colognes
Same brand as before, but these are designer inspired fragrances for dogs. While I haven’t quite had the chance to use it yet, I can say that it definitely smells good.
6.) iGroom Skin Rescue
I may get laughed at for conditioning my dog’s paws, but I do. I feel like it’s almost essential after taking him to the beach and/or hiking to prevent them from cracking. With that said, I do love this product and that it is made out of natural and organic ingredients. Out in California this seems like an essential. Highly recommend.
7.) Benebone Durable Chew Toys
My dog loves this salmon chew. And I feel even better giving it to him as a distraction while I workout or do work because it’s made out of the USA. Highly recommend this brand and this particular chew.
With that being said, there’s a lot more that this store offers than is pictured here, so if you are a dog parent who is looking for the essentials, please check them out here. (**Feel free to use the code HARRISON to save!**)
And for everyone else who is looking for their “moment” or their manifestations to come to life, please note that in order to get it you must first visualize what it is you want. Like they say, in order to hit a target, you must know where it is. Maybe that’s a goldendoodle or maybe that’s something else, but ONLY YOU know what it is you want and what’s right for yourself.
